What is a pink slip and why do I need one?

A Pink Slip is simply proof that your vehicle has been inspected by an authorized inspection station (which we at ECPT are!) and that it is road worthy and meets all NSW safety standards. All vehicles must have a pink slip for registration if it is over three years old or if you have received a registration renewal notice.

The pink slip is converted to an e-safety check at our ECPT offices and sent electronically to the RTA, confirming that the inspection was completed successfully. When your pink slip is completed, you may renew your registration online or by phone. However, if we deem your vehicle needs repairing, a white slip may be issued.
